Sales Manager
💼 We are looking for a Sales Manager for our client, a leading manufacturer in the heavy machinery and industrial equipment sector. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who combines strong technical understanding with solid experience in managing complex B2B project sales.
As the Sales Manager, you will expand the customer and distributor network, develop competitive technical-commercial proposals, and lead end-to-end sales cycles. You will build strategic relationships, identify new market opportunities, and secure high-value projects that support the company's international growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end B2B project sales cycles: needs analysis, technical solutioning, pricing, negotiation and closing.
- Build and expand customer portfolio in target industrial markets.
- Drive international growth by identifying and onboarding new dealers, distributors and service partners.
- Ensure strong alignment with the existing sales team; support them in complex negotiations and strategic opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, sourcing, finance and operations to deliver competitive proposals and successful project execution.
- Analyse RFP/RFQ/tender documents and prepare commercially strong, technically accurate offers.
- Provide market insights, competitor analysis and clear forecasting to management.
- Maintain key accounts, identify growth opportunities and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B project sales, business development, technical commercial roles or sourcing.
- Experience in industrial sectors (construction and heavy machinery, mechanical equipment, mining, automation, energy, rail systems, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and convert them into commercially viable solutions.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, technical–commercial comparison and cost optimisation.
- Prior exposure to sales team leadership, coaching or alignment roles is a strong advantage.
- Proven success in closing high-value B2B projects and managing complex sales cycles.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across teams, harmonise different functions and strengthen overall sales effectiveness.
- Analytical mindset, strategic thinking and a proactive, ownership-driven working style.
- Advanced English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel; active driver.
