Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to be based in Ukraine, who will lead financing, contract management, field operations, and team coordination processes for utility-scale Solar (PV), Wind (RES), and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects developed in Ukraine, on behalf of our international renewable energy partner operating globally.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
End-to-end planning, management, and coordination of Wind, Solar PV, and BESS projects
Managing, structuring, and tracking project financing processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating EPC, O&M, consultancy, and other project-related contracts
Coordinating field teams, subcontractors, technical personnel, and operational workflows
On-site supervision of construction, installation, and commissioning activities
Managing licensing, permitting, and regulatory processes in accordance with Ukrainian energy legislation
Maintaining effective communication with international investors, financial institutions, and key project stakeholders
💡 Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering degrees preferred)
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector
Proven track record in Wind and/or Solar PV projects
Strong experience in site operations and team management
Solid knowledge of EPC, O&M, and consultancy contracts
Strong understanding of project finance processes
Experience in BESS projects is a strong advantage
Knowledge of Ukrainian energy regulations, permitting, and licensing processes
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred
Valid Category B driving license
Ability and willingness to travel regularly, with approximately 25% field/site visits required
🌍 Language Requirements
English: Advanced (mandatory)
Russian: Fluent with strong technical and legal terminology knowledge (mandatory)
Ukrainian: Intermediate to advanced (preferred)
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Ukrainian public authorities (NEURC, Ukrenergo, local municipalities, etc.)
Familiarity with international financing institutions and programs (EBRD, IFC, USAID, etc.)
Experience managing projects under challenging or wartime conditions
Residency in Lviv or Western Ukraine preferred
